I'm going to talk about my thinking behind this blog here.
I'll start off with the fact that I am well aware that I have yet to finish another story blog, and taking on yet another task while I have so many and college is PROBABLY not my best idea ever. But I will counter that with the fact that this was stuck very firmly in my brain, and when I get an idea in my head, I either write it and move on, or I dwell on it and get nothing else done. See, if I had left this idea sit in my head to rot, I wouldn't have been able to concentrate on any of my other blogs because I wanted to do this. This way, I can do this, and it makes it easier for me to write on my other things.
Why did I have this idea and why was it so.. important to me? Well, that's simple. I have been planning on making a DitFT for a long.. long time. Ever since I read the first generation of A Rolling Stone Gathers No Moss by StyxLady (if you haven't read it, READ IT NOW), to be specific. Originally, I was going to make with Bindy Praise Devine as my foundress (and I may still, I love her and her family), but I just.. never started it. Sure, I made the blog (this is it), I took a few pictures, and then I did nothing and went back to my wishacy. I love my wishacy, you see. Not just the fact that playing wishacy-style is incredibly fun, but also because I just love my Parodi family.
I had to fix my Parodi family and move them to a new town, but eventually I was able to play them again, and that's what lead me to this. I played along with Rosella as the heiress, and I adore her, but ever since her little sister, Dove, was born, the younger girl has been my favorite and I kind of wanted her to win the heir vote. She didn't, and I thought I would be okay with that. But as she grew up, I decided that I needed to do a whole save game based on her, and I thought I'd do a 100 baby challenge with her or something.
BUT THEN.
The idea hit me - what if I did a spin-off of 'all my heart desires' with Dove as the foundress?! I think I even gasped out loud when I thought of the idea.. yep. I didn't quite figure out exactly what I was going to do with her until she decided she wanted to learn gardening. Gardening! She could be a foundress for a DitFT! I could move her to a different town, and give a whole back story on why she took off on her own. Peeerfect!
You're probably wondering if I'll get tired of the Parodi name and genetics, since I will have two stories/games with Parodis as the main family. I doubt it, to be honest, because though they have similar facial structures, Rosella and Dove have completely different personalities and appearances. Not to mention, I am leaving the surname for this challenge open to change, even though I'm probably going to keep the Parodi throughout.
Um.. oh! If you haven't read all my heart desires, Dove's hair is not of my own creation. It's from her grandmother Faith Swan, who was an heiress/foundress in itsjulie's Just Wishes and Sometimes Wishes are Neverending!! So I credit her with the hair and part of Dove's appearance.
